Mas devo reconhecer que considerei esquisitas algumas dessas traduções, confusas, sem pé nem cabeça. Neste mundo da F-1, no entanto, é assim mesmo. Os caras falam, falam e não dizem nada. E eis a “Tecla SAP” pós-classificação da Malásia, a verdade verdadeira da Fórmula 1 como você nunca viu (sorte sua, diga-se). Começando com declarações dos pilotos da McLaren apresentando o novo patrocinador da equipe, o delicioso Lucozade.
Parece que é de beber.
BUTTON, O HIDRATADO – “Hydration in the cockpit is extremely important – and I know that only too well from a past experience during the Malaysian GP when my fluid bottle broke. By the end of the race, I was in pretty bad shape – which just goes to show that, without proper hydration, your performance and your abilities behind the wheel are severely compromised.” SAP – “Teve um ano aqui que meu pai colocou um scotch com gelo na garrafinha, mas a bagaça quebrou. Cheguei ao fim da corrida meio bêbado. Agora me deram esse negócio para beber. Tem gosto de xixi. Quente.”
HAMILTON, O SINTÉTICO – “It’s fantastic that we’ve been able to work on this project with Lucozade’s scientists. During a race, you can lose up to four kilos in fluid – something that can really affect your performance. One of the benefits of working so closely with our human team is that Lucozade has really tailored the taste of the drinks to our preferences.” SAP – “Se esses caras fossem cientistas bons, teriam inventado a Coca-Cola. Vamos fazer o seguinte: troco essa merda por um Red Bull. Ops.”
RAIKKONEN, O BREVE – “Unfortunately, I made a couple of mistakes on my fastest lap which probably cost a couple of tenths. Without that, we were in with a shout for pole today. It’s a shame we have a penalty. We had some issues with KERS yesterday, but there was no repeat today.” SAP – “Fiz um copo de erros na minha volta que me custou um copo de tetas. Me deram um chute na pole e marcaram pênalti. Me mandaram usar um tal de KERS ontem, mas como não sabia o que era, não usei hoje.”
GROSJEAN, O PACIFISTA – “You never know what will happen with the weather here, our pace is not too far off the leaders and it will be a long race, so anything is possible. In these conditions managing the tyres is crucial. I’m looking forward to the race.” SAP – “A gente nunca sabe o que pode acontecer, saca? A paz não está longe dos líderes, bicho. É uma cruz, meu camarada. Uma cruz. Estou olhando para o horizonte da raça, entende o que eu digo?”
MARK GILLAN, DA WILLIAMS, O COMUNA – “We had a good practice session this morning but unfortunately we failed to capitalise on our pace in qualifying. Pastor’s car sustained some body work damage. We aim to be fighting for points.” SAP – “A prática matinal do trabalho duro que visa apenas a fortuna mostra as falhas do capitalismo em tempos de paz. Pastor sustenta a família e sempre diz que a mais valia danifica o corpo do trabalhador. Temos de lutar por esses pontos [na próxima reunião do partido].”
DI RESTA, UM – “I think P14 is a reasonable place to start and hopefully our race pace and tyre management will pay off tomorrow. The other variable is the weather because there is always a high risk of showers late in the afternoon.” SAP – “Espero que o gerente da loja de pneus nos pague o que deve amanhã, caso contrário há um enorme risco de eu só tomar banho de tarde.”
SCHUMACHER, O IDOSO – “I am more than happy about my return to the top three today. It felt nice being in the qualifying press conference for the first time in over five years! What is obviously more important would be sitting here again tomorrow. I would also be happy to give a good result back to Mercedes-Benz who have been so strongly supportive of me.” SAP – “Até que enfim posso sentar um pouquinho e descansar depois de um treino, porque estou ficando meio velho pra isso aqui. Do jeito que andava a coisa, já estava achando que a Mercedes ia enfiar um supositório com força em mim.”
KOBAYASHI, O RECUPERADO – “There was no particular problem on my final lap in Q2 such as traffic or mistakes, but I could not feel the grip with the medium tyre compound.” SAP – “Não tenho nenhum problema particular, acordei melhor e no final já não estava sentindo os efeitos da gripe, que foi média.”
DOMENICALI, O MORIBUNDO – “We should regard this result as a glass half full. All of us and our fans would like to see our drivers always in the fight for pole position, but if we do not have the potential to do so. Once again today, Fernando did a great job. Felipe has made a step in the right direction and that could also be seen on the clock.” SAP – “Vou usar aquele negócio do copo meio cheio e meio vazio que o Alonso falou no Twitter, pra ver se cola. Ah, Fernandinho, salvas o nosso couro, chico! Lindo, lindo, guapo! Felipe melhorou, conseguiu colocar o estepe no lugar certo mesmo olhando a hora no relógio.”
ALONSO, O CONFORMADO – “If it was to rain, it will take a lot of luck to pinpoint the right moment to change tyres: it only takes a little to drop a dozen seconds or so and we will need total concentration to get everything right. A dry race will require just as much concentration to maximise the performance of the car and tyres which, at this track, degrade a lot.” SAP – “Se chover forte, estamos fodidos. Se chover pouco, estamos fodidos. Se ficar seco, estamos fodidos.”
MASSA, O ESCLARECIDO – “I think we have begun to get a better understanding of how this F2012 works and that is positive. Tomorrow will be a very hard race, where tyre degradation will make itself felt and there will also be the threat of rain hanging over it.” SAP – “Eu não estava entendendo nada do carro. Agora que estou, acho que se chover, estamos fodidos. Se ficar seco, estamos fodidos.”
FRY, O FRITO – “Honestly it’s hard to see how we could have secured a different result to this one, given the potential available to us.” SAP – “Honestamente, como é que eu vou explicar pra minha mulher que saí da McLaren pra vir parar aqui?”
